Each year a group of year 12 students from the district, travel to Cambodia to build houses in village communities.
This is an alternative to “Schoolies Week” initiative, founded by the Rotary Club of Kerang.
The battery drive is one fundraiser that the year 12 students facilitate to raise the $10,000 needed to buy materials, to build the houses.
Each student funds their own travel and accommodation costs.
The alternative schoolies trip has been running successfully for a number of years now.
So over the next month, if you have car, truck, motorbike or any type of batteries lying around that you would like to donate to this very good cause please drop them off at the collection point in front of our head office;
AWMA Water Control Solutions – 118 Roviras Road, Cohuna 3568
