Fish Impingement and Entrainment Conference

AWMA were excited to participate in IFM's First International Fish Impingement and Entrainment Conference, in Liverpool, UK.

The conference featured presentations on fish and eel impingement and entrainment at industrial and other intake structures across fresh, transitional and marine waters. Speakers were drawn from academic research institutes, industrial bodies, regulators and consultancies, including speakers from the USA, Australia and across Europe who have considerable practical experience in these specific areas of expertise.

Craig Boys from NSW Department of Primary Industries was selected as a keynote speaker, presenting to delegates on the topic 'Designing a safer future for native fish: The history, impact and future of innovative fish-protection screening in Australia'.
