We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contract Manager to join our team! This role can be worked in a hybrid setting with 2-3 days in the head office based in Cohuna VIC.

The position:
To be considered for this position you will ideally hold tertiary qualifications in Business Administration, Contract Management, Legal Studies or a related field, additionally have demonstrated 5+ years’ experience in Contract Management.
As a project-based business, this role involves managing and negotiating multiple contracts simultaneously at a fast pace, with high attention to detail. The approximate range of contract values will be between $50k and $10 million.
Some travel may be required for the role to visit sites and meetings. It would be highly advantageous is you are familiar with manufacturing processes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Contract Development and Negotiation: Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of contracts to ensure alignment with project requirements, budget constraints, and company policies.
Contract Administration: Maintain a centralised contract management system to track statuses and deliverables, monitor compliance, and facilitate modifications as needed.
Risk Management and Compliance: Assess and mitigate contract risks through analysis and proactive measures, ensure compliance with legal and industry standards, and implement effective risk management strategies.
Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration: Serve as the main contact for contract inquiries, collaborate with project managers and teams to meet requirements, and provide guidance on contractual matters and dispute resolution.
Performance Evaluation and Reporting: Monitor contract performance metrics, prepare reports on status and financial implications, and conduct audits to identify improvements and efficiency gains.
Continuous Improvement and Best Practices: Develop and implement best practices for contract management, identify process enhancements, and stay updated on industry trends and regulations.
About you:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Contract Management, Legal Studies, or a related field. A master’s degree or certification in Contract Management is preferred.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in contract management within the manufacturing industry or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of contract law, terms, and conditions.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex contractual documents.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable travelling and working from the head office in Cohuna 2-3 days per week or fortnight.

Experienced Mechanical Fitter
As the national leader in Water Control Solutions, AWMA is renowned for its successful delivery of water control infrastructure projects.
AWMA design, manufacture and install aluminium and stainless steel water control gates, flood barriers and fish protection screens across all water sectors within Australia as well as the export market.
Due to an increased demand for our specialised products and services, we are looking for a Fitter to join our team.
The role is located in Cohuna, northern Victoria.
Reporting to the Factory Foreman, you will be part of the team that complete the final fit out of our complex water control structures.
It is a physical, hands-on role in a busy area of the business. You will be working in a well organised non-ferrous workshop on a diverse range of Australia’s most challenging water infrastructure projects.
Trade qualifications will be viewed highly, but we encourage applicants that have mechanical fitting experience to apply.

We are seeking a skilled Welder Fabricator to join our dynamic team.
As a key member of our fabrication team, you will be responsible for the precise assembly and welding of clean materials to create high-quality products. Your role will involve interpreting engineering drawings, and utilising advanced welding techniques to ensure the integrity and quality of our finished products.
