As a Sales Specialist for our FloodFree or Gates solutions, you will play a key role in driving the growth of our business by nurturing existing leads and new opportunities. This role will require a strong blend of sales experience in a professional environment and technical aptitude, enabling you to identify customer needs and deliver tailored solutions that help protect the environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy: Support development of Sales Strategy that aligns with AWMA’s goals and objectives.
Customer Solutions: Understand customer requirements, identify challenges, and provide tailored technical solutions. You will prepare quotes, create proposals, and communicate how our solutions can meet customer needs.
Technical Sales: Leverage your technical sales ability to explain complex products and their benefits clearly. Ensure that you are presenting solutions that are technically sound and feasible, with a focus on value and ROI for the customer.
Sales Documentation: Prepare and review technical documentation and proposals to ensure accurate pricing and clear communication.
Self-Motivation: Independently manage and prioritise tasks to achieve sales targets while delivering excellent customer satisfaction.
Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers, acting as a trusted advisor and maintaining ongoing communication.
Market Research: Stay informed on industry trends and competitor activities to identify emerging opportunities.
Closing Deals: Demonstrate the value of our solutions, ensuring that you successfully close deals and contribute to business growth.
Travel: Travel as required within Australia to meet customers, attend exhibitions, and conduct site visits.
About you:
You will be an accomplished professional sales person with at least 5+ years of experience in technical sales or a related field. You’ll bring:
- A proven track record in sales, ideally within the water management or technical solutions industry. Experience is a must for this role.
- The ability to present complex technical solutions to customers in a clear, engaging, and customer-focused way.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work independently, ensuring you meet and exceed sales targets.
- A solid understanding of technical solutions and customer requirements.
- Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce experience is an advantage).

The position:
To be considered for this position you will ideally hold tertiary qualifications in Business Administration, Legal Studies or a related field, additionally have demonstrated 5+ years’ experience in Contract Advisory Role.
As a project-based business, this role involves negotiating and advising on multiple contracts simultaneously at a fast pace, with high attention to detail. The approximate range of contract values will be between $50k and $10 million.
Some travel may be required for the role to visit sites and meetings. It would be highly advantageous is you are familiar with manufacturing processes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Contract Negotiation: Review, revise and negotiate contracts to ensure alignment with project requirements, budget constraints, and company policies.
Contract Administration: Maintain a centralised contract management system to track statuses and deliverables, monitor compliance, and facilitate modifications as needed.
Risk Management and Compliance: Assess and mitigate contract risks through analysis and proactive measures, ensure compliance with legal and industry standards, and implement effective risk management strategies.
Stakeholder Communication and Advice: Serve as the primary point of contact for all contract-related inquiries, providing clear and proactive communication to internal and external stakeholders. Advise project teams, management, and other departments on contractual obligations, compliance issues, and risk mitigation strategies, ensuring informed decision-making throughout the contract lifecycle.
Performance Evaluation and Reporting: Monitor contract performance metrics, prepare reports on status and financial implications, and conduct audits to identify improvements and efficiency gains.
Continuous Improvement and Best Practices: Develop and implement best practices for contract management, identify process enhancements, and stay updated on industry trends and regulations.
About you:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Contract Management, Legal Studies, or a related field. A master’s degree or certification in Contract Management is preferred.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in contract management within the manufacturing industry or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of contract law, terms, and conditions.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex contractual documents.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable travelling and working from the head office in Cohuna 2-3 days per week/ fortnight.
