The weir is situated on the Loddon River approximately 60km north-west of Bendigo, Victoria.
The gates check a 3.07m head to pass water to Boort Irrigation District via the Waranga Western Channel.
The new aluminium gates were retrofitted to replace steel gates.
The Undershot Gates are isolated from the mild steel super-structure by using high density polyethylene bearing pads to prevent electrolysis from causing corrosion.
A custom designed profile was also required to integrate the gates into the unique existing actuation system.
