Screens with Retrievals

AWMA’s Self-cleaning Intake Screens fully comply with the NSW Fish Screen Guidelines including the ability to retrieve the screens above the waterline for inspection and maintenance, as demonstrated in this video.

You can also see the wedge wire cylinders rotating during a self-cleaning cycle, for inspection, prior to returning to the base of the retrieval.

AWMA Retrieval Systems are designed to be as low-profile as possible, built to withstand flood conditions and minimise debris snagging. Marker buoys are fitted to the screen, which become visible as the water level reaches 1m above the screen, to ensure river users are aware of the underwater asset.
